Record keeping
There has been some discussion about record keeping rules/laws for surveyors.
An interesting little factoid, when I’m picking up the mail, there is a package from the clerk’s office.
In the package is the original description as a warranty deed and the original drawing for a recent survey.
A little dymo sticker across the top with the recording info.
So in our office now is the original hard copy of the deed and drawing.
Am I supposed to keep this as a record or scan it for some reason and shred it?
I’m thinking the latter, or just shred it since the document is scanned at the court house now.
I keep thinking about going to Wal Mart watching someone give them a check and the cashier handing it back to them. The first time I saw that transpire the look on the woman’s face getting the check back was priceless, it must have been that woman’s first time too.
I guess we live in the cloud now, need to get used to it.
