Head slap moment
Putting together a string of surveys for a client. The original job # begins with 1993 so the first survey was 27 years ago. He would like to confirm his acreage since each survey was done as a separate transaction over a number of years and they are distinct tracts, then he wants one overall drawing. So I imput the oldest tract and the acreage is shown as +- 280.166 Acres on the plat. There are some fence conflicts around the edges and they also show numbers like 3.929 Acres. At least it wasn’t one of my projects…????.
This is topo heavy country, a large hill, down to a valley and back up another ridge, along a highway right of way with a number of curves and jogs, at least there aren’t any spirals, very accurate survey,,,,,,,I guess.
Maybe it was a new autocad version and those numbers slipped through the review process,,,,,,,,it’s was too long ago to figure it out now.
