Best HP 35
Posted by tatsurveyman on August 9, 2018 at 2:10 pmLooking for the BEST HP 35 calculator out there. Where do you recommend buying one that is pre-programed? I thought the NSPS sold them but I can’t find them.

I recommend easycogo.com. That’s where I got mine. I got it preprogramed, and made a BIG mistake and had to reprogram it, but when I had trouble, the guy sat on the phone and talked me through it. (I think you also get the instructions in case you ever have do reprogram it)
There aren’t many places that do sell them pre programed, there is another that I found, but it’s way overpriced! And there’s other reasons I wouldn’t buy from the second source, but I won’t get into that in an open forum.
I would recommend programming it yourself, it takes a good part of an afternoon to do, but you learn which programs you have any what they do, and when you lose the programs from dead batteries you will already know how to program it. I know they have backup batteries or change one battery then the other, but the programs still get deleted.
I purchased a book on programs and how to program my HP35 before I took my exam. I think it was one of the best things I did. Besides from knowing how to program it and know how to run the programs, it pretty much helped me by relearning and memorizing the formulas and when they are used.
I downloaded a handful of freebie basic cogo routines from the web. After comparing length and instructions I picked one that seemed easy to run. Like others, the excersize proved very helpful.
I used that calculator on 4 tests. The routines were for my second trip through to check my answers. I’m glad I didn’t buy it preloaded.
