Hi Mapper6683,
I was reading your post about Magnet Quick Codes and how much you love them.
I have tried them and think it could be better. See what you think:
I couldn’t find where you only have to tap once and walk, I had to Tap the Q code button then the Green arrow.
I would have the Q code showing the current string selection only (so the button would look the same as currently), then i would input the string number at the bottom of the screen if different. This would mean one Q code button could be used for any number of strings. You could still have two buttons with the same code with different current string numbers.
I would keep the two Taps as Default but have a customise option where you could Tap once i.e. activate the shot and record. Lets say you are doing a spot level grid or anything with masses of the same shots. Even if you made a mistake its not like the old days where in typical software you couldn’t edit and had to make a note.
My biggest gripe is with the tiny Green Arrow next to the Red X. If you accidentally press the Red X there is no message saying unrecorded measurement is about to be deleted, are you Sure? Y/N. It just acts like it was recorded and you move on, ok, if you have the point number visible that doesn’t advance.
In other areas of the software they have embraced customising. Maybe these are issues that I can solve in the current software, but I can’t find them.
In answer to your output question, I trialled Carlson which I hope to buy. I found Exchange (export) to dwg file with Carlson Blocks. Then within Carlson I was able to resize Block attributes to make it good to work with.
