They won't let me activate 2006, but I can run 2000, which requires no authorization code?  That's a great little marketing strategy right there

I'm about ready to go with BricsCad & DotSoft & bag Carlson & Autodesk altogether.  Eff 'em with a broken bottle....

Ha. That's a good one.  I've heard of using hot pokers, but never a broken bottle.

Good enough for the dirty pirates...

C'mon now, how is Autodesk supposed to stay in business if they don't force people to "upgrade" frequently? /S

(and yes, the same can be said for way too many other companies, entirely too many for me to list)

We are able to run 2000 on our Win 10, it's interesting that you can't run 2006.

@mightymoe

I'm running 2006 right this minute on my win 10 desktop, no problem.  The problem isAutodicks won't give me an activation code for home use of my friggin' 2006 PERPETUAL license on my new tablet.  So, apparently, if my desktop takes a shipt, I'm screwed.  I've spent 13 years tweaking the interface, now I'm going to be forced to start over.  Eff 'em with a red hot broken bottle, the bassturds!

If you don't mind spending $80, this works great.

Installing AutoCAD 2006 on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10
