We have a Topcon Hiper Lite with 0MB of memory. Can the Topcon Hiper Lite be used as an antenna with an external receiver (I was thinking of a Topcon Legacy receiver) through one of the MINTER serial connections?

I could not locate a Topcon Legacy manual online to check this myself.

Thanks in advance.

What Does It Ouput?

There are manufacturer specific and generic "data logger" programs. Most of the those programs run in the simplest of PCs. There are probably some current dta collectors that could handle that for you.

Do some research on "data loggers".

BTW, I thought all those units were built with internal memory, you just have to pay money to get it activated.

From the Topcon PC-CDU Manual:

"Recording, in real time, the receiver’s raw data measurements
on the computer’s disk in TPS and RINEX formats. To generate
RINEX files, the executable file tps2rin.exe must be
installed on your PC."

I would download the manual and check it out.

I have never tried logging to a computer directly with PC-CDU (or heard of it). I will have to try it.

I think most users have units with memory so they just log data to the receiver memory.

Thanks.
