Logging raw data through TRU with a hiper+
Posted by ease on February 16, 2015 at 4:47 pmI just found the topcon TRU application. It let’s me connect to my hiper+ through bluetooth from a PC.
For some reason this used hiper+ we bought didn’t come with any internal memory. TRU appears to let me log to a TPS file.
Can this file be processed through OPUS? How do I covert it to rinex?
Thanks

I have uploaded TPS to OPUS.
In the support site: just below the TRU software is the TPS2RIN which will convert to RINEX.
You can also use PCCDU with the USB/Serial connection to log to your PC.
Don’t need to convert, OPUS will do it for you.

You can send the native TPS file, even if it includes GLONASS data.
Starting with the GR-3, Topcon receivers now allow you to supply the need to log static data by providing a standard SD memory card.
But with the original HiPer series, the memory is on the main board and is a $$ option to activate.
I routinely send my tps files from my HIPER GGD to opus…no conversion necessary. I download the file out of the hiper using TRU…slow as molasses in January, but it works.
Hi, I just converted a .tps file to RINEX using the tps2rin application. I just downloaded tps2rin from the Topcon website under the “older utilities” page.
All I had to do to convert was to drag my .tps file into the tps2rin command icon, the application does the conversion by itself. The RINEX file is generated in the same folder.Hi, can anyone explain to me how can I log a TPS file using TRU from a Hiper Lite Plus receiver that comes without internal memory?
Thanks in advance
Connect to the receiver using bluetooth or serial port. Once connected go to status and then go to the logging tab. You can then enter the antenna type/height, file name from here and start logging.
I use it all the time.
