Please note–I am not condoning or suggesting use of the aforementioned combo. It is merely an illustration for entertainment purposes.

Or just some appropriate signage:
I’ve found that placing my base stations in remote and hard to access places reduces the public’s interest to bother them.
Cemeteries and rooftops are some of my favorite goto sites.
Game cams will document any unwanted events.
Cemeteries in urban areas are good places. Also, in rural areas fences (without a tripod, just the antenna).
My newest receiver, Trimble Alloy, has a position monitoring function, you can set it to monitor the position for changes that are configurable in magnitude, down to 0.01 m for RTK. It is supposed to monitor the RTX position (according to the help file), but that is not in the list. This would also alert to blowovers, people moving it, etc. Of course, it has to be connected to the internet (no internal cell modem). I use an external cell modem when away from the office, but it does have an ethernet port and wifi.
I remember those guys were on “Kickstarter” about seven months ago, wonder if they went into production. There was an article about them in the WSJ or Atlantic magazine. ????
