Gurley Tripod

I need a Gurley tripod to display the first transit that I ever used. A little rustic but solid would do nicely.

Check ebay. They have gotten pricey now that it is chic to re-purpose them for lamps.

@spmpls You seem to be right on. I will need to shell out about $200 to get one. At least, I found out that my transit is worth more than I thought. My Father bought it from a Farmer in Mississippi for $68.50. He wanted $75.00.

My rambling thoughts. If you use the seco adaptor above, don't throw that transit on your shoulder. The bell housing bracket on modern tripods may not be adequate in construction, although they vary in strength.
