I haven't been on here in a while. Been busy. I am sure I may have posted this before. The Tennessee Comptroller has posted val maps for the State. https://comptroller.tn.gov/office-functions/state-assessed-properties/useful-information-/railroad-maps.html Anybody else have any good links? I often have trouble getting val maps out of out title searchers. Usually I end up getting them when one of our attorneys is preparing the closing doc's.

Well, the National Archives has "ALL" of the ICC (Interstate Commerce Commission) data (including Valuation Maps), but none of them (as far as I know), are available online. I have acquired copies before, but it's a real PITA, and takes quite awhile to get them (through specific contractors in the DC area).

However, if all else fails...

If all else fails, historical societies may have them and give them up so you can copy them if you poke them gently.

For those in MA/CT/RI area, UConn has a stash of Val Maps online.

Check this out. I bought a bunch of maps from here last week. $10 got me a dropbox link with hundreds of good quality D&H maps covering most of NY. If you scroll down you'll see maps for other areas in New England and I believe some in Tennessee.

The owner of that site could certainly use Wendell's services -- it looks like a casebook on bad web design practices -- but it looks like he has a lot of information available.
